GIANNI RUVIDOTTI, born in Bolzano (Italy) on June 27, 1962, begins his professional formation at age 11, under the training of a direct pupil of the great classical guitarist Segovia. Attracted by the different musical styles and cultures, he resolves during his junior year to broaden his musical education by joining through a scholarship a U.S. high school jazz band, where he receives 3 awards as best solo player of the band by the N.A.J.E. (National Association of Jazz Educators). Since 1985 he has continued to develop a vast work experience as composer and arranger for diverse recording studios, using editing programs such as Cubase 2.0, Notator, Cubase Vst, and Protools.
In 1996 he successfully concludes his studies at the prestigious academy of Filippo Daccò for composition and arrangement, obtaining his final degree in writing for all instruments. In the same year he records his first cd, “Ali Bianche”, produced by I.T.W. Label and chosen as album of the week by a major local radio station and presented with an interview on national television. Since 1996 he has continued to compose and arrange music for radio and television jingles, films, albums, still finding the time to sometimes perform in public in his free time.
In the year 2001 he opens his own recording studio and school, the Gierremusic Studio and Academy, the latter following a specific method based on his 20 years long teaching experience and due to be published next year.
